It is said, “We get into airplanes for the adventure, but we stay in aviation for the people.” As proof of this I submit the annual “Props and Pistons” fly-in in Akron, Ohio. For a small show, the flightline was surprisingly well-equipped. There was a gaping C-17, a slightly smaller C-130, a handsome collection of warbirds, and dozens of aviation companies displaying handsomely-bug-free airplanes. Traffic was heavy, both on foot and in the air.
